The Case of the Bad Production Designer

This 10 minute comedic short film played at the ADG (Art Directors Guild) Awards in February of this year and surfaced online in a shorter format that was widely circulated. I hadn’t seen the full length version until now so I decided to share it with you all. I am in love with this video.

“The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. And it sounds trite and silly but it’s all about keeping the big picture in the picture.”

Jeannine Oppewall (Production Designer, ‘L.A Confidential’ & ‘Catch Me If You Can’)

Wonderful! I wish there was a lot more of this sort of thing available.

  2. I agree. It really is a shame. I feel like there is a lot of great content about production design out there but it’s all really hard to find. That’s why I created this blog in the first place, because I needed to create a place to store all of the great information once I found it. If you liked this video there are a lot more like it at my Art Department Facebook Group.

    Thanks so much for visiting!
