The British Academy of Film and Television Arts have announced the winners of the 2018 BAFTA Awards, aka EE British Academy Film Awards.
The Shape of Water was nominated in 12 categories. Darkest Hour and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri both received nine nominations; Blade Runner 2049 and Dunkirk both have eight. I, Tonya received five nominations, Call Me by Your Name and Phantom Thread had four each, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool, Lady Bird and Paddington 2 received three nominations each.
The nominations were announced January 9th by Natalie Dormer and Letitia Wright at BAFTA’s London headquarters, 195 Piccadilly.
The EE British Academy Film Awards took place on Sunday, February 18th at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The ceremony was hosted by Joanna Lumley and was broadcast exclusively on BBC One. The ceremony was also broadcast in all major territories around the world.

I’m so happy to see Sarah Greenwood received two nominations for designing both Darkest Hour and Beauty and the Beast. I consider her a role model. She is a master of her craft and excels on every single film she does. However I am even happier to see production designer Paul Austerberry win tonight for The Shape of Water. He deserves it.
