The 2020 BAFTA Awards Winner for Best Production Design in a Motion Picture

The EE British Academy Film Awards announced their BAFTA Awards Best Production Design winner in a motion picture for the 2020 BAFTA Awards.

The 2020 BAFTA Awards Best Production Design winner was announced tonight at a star-studded gala at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The nominations for the EE British Academy Film Awards, also known as the BAFTA Awards, were previously announced in January by Ella Balinska and Asa Butterfield at BAFTA Piccadilly in London.

The EE British Academy Film Awards, which recognise the very best in film of the past year, was hosted by Graham Norton and featured performances by Cirque du Soleil and Jessie Buckley. The BAFTA Awards were broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD in the UK and in all major territories around the world.

While Joker led the nominations with 11, followed by The Irishman and Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood with 10 nominations, 1917 led the pack with 7 wins, followed by Joker with 3 wins, and Parasite with 2 wins. All four of these films received a BAFTA nomination for Best Production Design of a motion picture released in 2019.

The Special Award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema was presented to Andy Serkis. Through his pioneering work in the evolving art of performance capture he has widened the parameters of what it means to be an actor in the 21st century.

The Fellowship, the highest honour the Academy can bestow, was presented to producer Kathleen Kennedy by HRH The Duke of Cambridge, President of BAFTA, and Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. The EE Rising Star Award, voted for by the public, went to Micheal Ward.
