The 2020 ADG Awards winners were announced today by the Art Directors Guild. The 24th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards honours theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos and animated features.

As previously announced, the ADG Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented at the Art Directors Guild Awards to outstanding individuals in each of the guild’s four crafts. Joe Alves received the ADG Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Directors Council, Denis Olsen from the Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists Council, Stephen Myles Berger from the Set Designers and Model Makers Council, and Jack Johnson from the Illustrators and Matte Artists Council. Syd Mead, “visual futurist” and concept artist known for his design contributions to science-fiction films such as Star-Trek: The Motion Picture, Aliens, and Blade Runner, received the William Cameron Menzies Award posthumously.
The 2020 ADG Awards returned to the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown in the Wilshire Grand Ballroom on Saturday, February 1, 2020.
